General Auction Rules
Auction
Each guest is assigned a bid number. To bid, hold your bid card high with the number toward the auctioneer. By bidding in the live event, each bidder agrees to these auction rules.
Payment
A bid acknowledged by the live auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item. Winning bidders will pay for their items at the event or by making arrangements with the business office no later than June 30, 2025. Auction items can be split between multiple purchasers. If this is an arrangement you would like to make, let the auction team know upon checkout. Payment in full is mandatory before receiving items. You may pay by check or credit card. Please make your check payable to Jewish Day School of Metropolitan Seattle.
Item Pickup
Items that are envelope-ready can be picked up at checkout. Follow instructions on gift cards or certificates to redeem them.
Limitations
Unless otherwise stated, use of vacation homes, tickets, services, experiences, etc. is to take place within one year following the auction at a predetermined or mutually agreed upon date between the donor and winning bidder. Other restrictions may be noted on individual cards or certificates. Jewish Day School of Metropolitan Seattle reserves the right to withdraw any item from the auction prior to bidding.
Warranties
Jewish Day School of Metropolitan Seattle has attempted to catalog and describe the auction items correctly, but all property is sold “as is.” Jewish Day School of Metropolitan Seattle neither warrants nor represents said items and shall in no event be responsible for the correctness of description, genuineness authorship, provenance, or the condition of the property. No statement contained in the catalog or made verbally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed to be such a warranty representation or assumption of liability for tax purposes or for general value.
