When is the JDS 2024 auction & gala?
Sunday, March 10, 2024. Doors open for the cocktail party at 4:30 p.m. The program will begin promptly at 6 p.m.
Where is the auction?
At the Embassy Suites Downtown Pioneer Square (255 S King St, Seattle WA 98104).
What can I expect at the auction?
You can look forward to connecting with friends and community members at our cocktail hour. We'll have tantalizing sign-up parties, riveting raffles, thrilling games, an art project exhibition, live music by Alex Chadsey, and more exciting activities. Then, we'll move into the stunning ballroom for a cocktail-style event with a condensed but no less sensational live auction. We'll round out the night with a lively dessert dash and additional opportunities to connect after the live auction portion concludes.
What should I do when I arrive?
Registration is located to your right as you exit the elevators. At registration, you can register your credit card for the evening and get your bidder number. Please register before attending cocktail hour. Coat check will be available.
Where can I park?
Paid parking adjacent to the Embassy Suites is available in the Slalom Hawk Tower parking garage. The entrance to the garage is on Stadium Place south. If this garage is full, there's additional parking across the street from the Slalom Hawk Tower. If you park in the Slalom Hawk Tower, take the elevators to the lobby of the Embassy Suites and follow signs to the ballroom on the sixth floor.
What should I wear?
Dress is semi-formal, but wear whatever makes you feel your best.
What kind of security will there be?
There will be additional security personal at the event to ensure the safety of our guests.

About Musician Alex Chadsey
Alex Chadsey is a professional improvisational pianist with over 20 years of experience as a performer, composer, arranger, and producer. With three albums of original music and credit on a GRAMMY award-winning record, Alex has harnessed his lifelong passion for music to grow a successful international career in the music industry.
Alex holds degrees from the Universities of Michigan and Washington, where he graduated with a Masters in 2020. In all musical endeavors, he draws from a wide range of knowledge and traditions, informed as much by formal academic training as by apprenticing with master musicians the world over—from Cuba, Mexico Puerto Rico, NYC, LA, and elsewhere. Notable works include recording with the legendary Reggae artist Clinton Fearon, as well as touring and recording with the award-winning, East LA-based Chicano band Quetzal. ACM is the distillation of wisdom gleaned from a lifetime of passionate music-making, and a portal for musical enrichment. ACM studio is based in West Seattle.
